2024 DisabiliTease Festival venue!

Save the date and help us secure our venue and event insurance for the 2024 DisabiliTease Festival on July 19-21! Our Friday show will be in person at the Capri Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show will be live-streamed on Zoom so that folks can watch from around the world. Our Saturday show will be completely virtual, with pre-recorded acts and a live emcee. Sunday will have a mix of in-person and live-streamed classes and virtual classes.

As the only festival of its kind, the DisabiliTease Festival features burlesque, cirque, cabaret, and drag performers with disabilities from around the world. Produced by Minda Mae and Lakota Shekhar, the festival will challenge and overturn the notion that having a disability decreases or interferes with a person’s desirability, allure, or competence as a performer. By intentionally curating our shows for people with disabilities, we are opening a door to the possibility for artists to find their creativity and place in the greater arts community. Seeing yourself represented on stage can be life-changing.
