At the New Jersey Destination Imagination Tournament on March 22, It’s A Girls World proved that perseverance, teamwork, and innovation can overcome any challenge! These incredible young women secured 1st place, earning a coveted spot at the Global Finals this May—but they need your help to get there!

Who We Are

It’s A Girls World is a program under South Jersey Robotics , which expanded into Camden County, NJ, in 2024, thanks to the generosity of Principal Lynette Padin-Reyes, who provided a dedicated meeting space at Mastery East Camden Middle School.

Camden faces significant economic challenges due to industrial decline, leading to widespread poverty and deteriorating infrastructure. Despite these obstacles, these girls have shown remarkable resilience, creativity, and determination—not just in the Destination Imagination (DI) challenge, but in life itself.

Why This Matters

Too often, girls lack the confidence and encouragement to pursue careers in STEM. Girls World exists to change that by introducing them to STEM early, building their confidence, and equipping them with mentorship and business skills before high school.

A gender-balanced workforce starts with access and opportunity. When we invest in young women, the results speak for themselves—and It’s A Girls World is proof of that!
