In 1995, I was diagnosed with PNET, a malignant tumor in my chest wall. Through the strength of family, friends and modern medicine, I was thankfully able to recover. June 1st marks the day when what was left of the tumor was removed and I was, for all intents and purposes, "cancer-free." To honor this 20-year milestone, we are raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Back in 1995, I was lucky enough to have been granted a wish, and the sights, smells and sounds of that day have remained fresh in my mind as if it happened yesterday. It is truly a wondeful organization that does nothing but good for children who are just in a bad situation that they cannot control. We are hoping to raise enough money to at least grant one child's wish.
