Tim Wilson is the owner and operator of Urban Lights Music, he is a brother, a father, a friend and a mentor to so many throughout the Twin Cities and music industry, both local and nationally. Like many small businesses who have been adversely affected and suffering through great loss, first with COVID-19 and now with the recent uproar of rioting and destruction of businesses due to the very tragic death of George Floyd. Urban Lights Music has worked tirelessly to stand it’s ground and protect the only African-American owned record store in the Twin Cities, from those who seek to take advantage of the protests. For the past 27 years Urban Lights Music/Tim Wilson has provided a place of hope, light and sense of family...that means so much to many people throughout the Twin Cities and abroad...
