Chicago Small Business Owners Need Our Help
Donation protected
We’re asking for our Chicago community to come together and support the small businesses looted and ransacked in the aftermath following the unjust death of George Floyd. 100% of donations will go to rebuilding the livelihoods of those who may have been uninsured or underinsured and experienced extensive damage and losses. With your help, we can rebuild our communities, restore jobs and the livelihoods of those already impacted by COVID-19.

We are both heartbroken and enraged by the death of George Floyd and so many others whose lives have been taken unjustly. The collective realization and reminder that this country is built on a long history of violence and the oppression of black people has left us feeling heavy and honestly sick.
For that, we are empowered in the fortitude of people of color and the uniting of all races around the country to demand progress, justice and the equal liberties that we all are due. Our hearts remain optimistic that this pivotal moment will not be a blip in our history books, but that people will continue to listen, get educated, raise their voices and that systemic reform comes now, not 20 or even 2 years from today.
So thank you to the resilient beings that have fought their entire lives for equality, and thank to those joining in now who have recognized that the only way forward is united. To those who are peacefully marching, eloquently advocating and working to heal the communities most affected, thank you.
With that gratitude comes heartbreak as this movement has resulted in the damage and looting of our community’s small businesses, devastating families who were already disproportianately affected by COVID-19. This damage has further delayed members of our community from returning to work in times where many of us do not have a dependable source of income.
It is for this reason that Arsiak and Candice are launching a call to action to contribute to the rebuilding of black-owned businesses to revive and bring hope to these families and communities. 100% of donations made in the month of June will go to small business owners in Chicago that were uninsured or who’s insurance will not cover the extent of the damage or loss of goods (in many cases, having to be recovered out of their own pockets).
Your donation, of any size, small or large will contribute to this mission to help as many small-businesses as possible during this critical time.
Let’s continue to show up for each other, have empathy, and encourage love - we are in this TOGETHER!

Donations will be accepted through the end of June 2020 and distributed in July.
