This coming August, I decided to make the leap to transfer to one of my dream schools, UNCG. Majoring in Theatre, I know I am going to be extremely busy, from shows, tech, rehearsal, practice, and everything in between. So, the only time I can truly make money for myself and my future, is during the summer. Sadly, because of COVID-19, my intentions in getting a job this summer, has been put on what seems a permanent halt. I am making this go fund me for the sole purpose of funding my education. For the last two years, I was a student at UNCP, where they have the wonderful NC Promise Tuition, which makes going to the school a very small amount of 500 dollars. At UNCG, they don’t have NC Promise and my financial aid doesn’t cover everything yet, unless I’m off campus. The job I was seeking, literally any job, was going to help me with my expenses. It is now June and I leave for school in August, even if i was able to secure a job this week, regular jobs pay bi-weekly, and it seems inevitable that I, by myself, would not be able to meet the deadline. So I am reaching out and asking for help, I have a very big pool of people and I think if I can get the word out that I need help, maybe some people would do so. So I am asking for help. thank you everyone who has spent the time listening to my story, it’s not the roughest story and I’ve had a pretty decent upbringing, but some things are a little far out of my reach by myself. August 23 Update: Since the semester has already started, i was able to start school perfectly fine. This GFM is now SOLELY for my living situation. I have the first two months (Aug and Sep) but i still need help until I able to properly and safely stand on my own two feet on this new town. Being fairly new, it’s hard because I don’t have many connections nor do I know proper jobs out here that won’t 1. Expose me (again) 2. Fit my school schedule and 3. Can pay me well enough. So anything, literally anything, would help, thank you so so much to the people who donated.
