Food Fight Farms & Broham

Our Flagship restaurant; Indigo focuses on the history of soulfood. In that historical research we explore how afro americans have survived countless waives of food apartheid & agricultural oppression. In our food we told stories of the black plight reimagined with higher quality accessibility to finer goods. This imagination created what we call Neo-Soul Food. Neo- Soul food is created through the lenses of a collection of black experiences in the western hemisphere. At Indigo we questioned the bounderies of what soul food was, is, and soon to become. Whilst we had plans to work towards a grocery store in the fall, the sudden global pandemic closed our restaurant for public safety concerns. With the shutdown taking place March 17, by April 1 we had retrained our staff and adjusted our store to become a fulltime grocer for our community.
Our family owned business during these times have silently & privately begun to make plans for the grocery concept to move into a larger space, and become 100% self sustainable by the end of 2021. In order to do this, WE NEED YOUR HELP, TO SERVICE OUR COMMUNITY!
The funds will be used to help continue the development and growth of Food Fight Farms LLC and forward Broham Fine Soul Food & Groceries LLC into a larger space. The proceeds will allow us to continue the physical development of the farm which in turn will provide the necessary produce for Broham Fine Soul Food & Groceries, a local grocer in the greater Trinity Garden neighborhood in Houston, TX.
We are looking to secure ownership of a larger location. This location needs work done to it to make it the grocery store our community DESERVES. In this we will need to purchase coolers, checkout registers, shelving and cabinet space, etc. The construction needed will amount to approximately $185,000.00, leaving the remaining amount for our farm who will supply all of the goodies to this store. The remaining cash will be used to not only deforest our land, but repurpose the wood for the build out of the store & farm i.e.; fence building, shelving, cabinetry, chicken coops, pig pins, etc. Much of this labor will be done by people whom are from or continue to reside in the community. Creating an economic cycle our community has NEVER experienced before.
We need YOUR FINACIAL SUPPORT IMMEDIATELY! Our community has been left without adequate quality food since its inception. We're not looking to move blindly, but well organized. If we could accumulate the funds in its entirety by August 2020, our flagship Grocery Store and Farm will both be ready to service our community by Juneteenth 2021.
2014 I started working on the Indigo concept. For years I pitched my ideas, and couldn't get investors or really anyone to believe in my vision. Four years later and the restaurant is a global phenomenon by simply doing our best with less. It would mean the world to us to be able to be able to do more.
