21foreveryone is a project which focuses on education, health, and food security in Ethiopia, a developing country with over 103 million inhabitants, is also home to millions of children who face a daily predicament. The excess of drought in the area combined with the lack of education, basic necessities, and healthcare has rendered these children in a fixed state of crisis. Many of these children die before the age of 5, and of those lucky enough to outlive their cohort, only a fraction gets to attend primary, and secondary school. With the pressures of daily survival as a peril, these children and their families do not have the convenience to plan for their future.
The goal is to remedy the aforementioned issues by providing support through generous donations, by directing funds to firstly provide books, pens and papers and then educate the population to better help itself in the rural area of Ethiopia. The organization will form partnerships with multiple charity institutes that are more established to ensure long-term sustainability, and true impact of change. Furthermore, we would like to create a strong community resilience during drought and other crises by teaching the inhabitants self-sufficiency, and survival skills.
Our fundraising strategy begins with raising awareness about the issue, and garnering as many followers as possible on social media and other gathering events. This awareness should lead to more funds, and a bigger donation pool According to our research, we need about 50,000,000 ETB to construct new schools, water wells, health care and proper housing centers. We need an estimate of $100,000(USD) to complete the donation event. This will barely scratch the surface, but it will be a start to a bigger venture in which we can attract a lot of potential foreign investment and help raise the economy of the country.
Poverty is not only the lack of food, water and shelter. Children also require love, care and attention for a proper upbringing. Educating the younger generation is the best weapon of fighting poverty. We are trying to bring a little bit of joy and happiness to the lives of these children. We believe showing them there’s someone out there who cares, showing them they are not alone will give them hope.
