Leo Rodgers Foundation Initiative
Donation protected
Those who know Leo know his spirit, good nature and special ability to motivate others. Leo's story of overcoming adversity through cycling is inspiring in itself (see Bicycle Magazine Story Here ). A long term goal of Leo's is to expand his ability to reach others to tell his story and get more people riding. The start of the Leo Rodgers Foundation is just one important piece in this mission.
Your donation will:
- Provide a financial starting point for a Leo Rodgers Foundation type operation
- Initiate more public outreach opportunities for Leo across the US and beyond
- Enable special speaking and in person opportunities for Leo to inspire those that need it most
Leo has already started fielding inquiries from schools, communities and other organizations for speaking and visit opportunities. These are just a few examples of areas where outreach can make an impact but we need your help to make this happen.
If you need more information or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Leo or myself via the contact form in the GoFundMe page.
More about Leo -
Bicycle Magazine Feature Video
Leonard “Leo” Rodgers was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. From a young age, and for most of his life, he has had the “need for speed.” In 2007, Leo was involved in a motorcycle accident that ultimately resulted in losing his leg which significantly changed his life. Leo turned this unfortunate event into a positive opportunity to inspire others. Riding bicycles is an outlet for him and gives him peace of mind. Leo competed in Paralympic events and is currently riding for Team Brooks. Leo is a pivotal leader of bike related rides and events in his home town. Leo continues to inspire others with his story. Leo's goal is to do more public outreach, tell his story and inspire others through cycling and motivational speaking.
