This wonderful family is my brother Jason’s family in Augusta, Georgia. They have two beautiful kids Devin and Jaysa and have been married 27 years. My sister in law April was diagnosed with an extremely rare pineal tumor in November of 2019. After 3 surgeries to relieve hydrocephalus and to biopsy the tumor, we have learned that it is non cancerous. Radiation was the suggested route of treatment in hopes to stop the growth of the tumor and to “kill” it. April’s body did not respond well to radiation. After 17 treatments, some of the worst nausea/side effects the doctor has ever seen, and almost being hospitalized, she made the decision to stop. She has found alternative treatment in Marbella, Spain with a doctor that has over a 95% success rate. The treatments that he does (Ozone therapy, Cold Laser, Ionic Transfer, Plasma Generator, Detoxifying treatment, Biocatalytic treatment, and localized hypothermia) are not approved in the U.S therefore the need to travel to Spain. These treatments, not including travel and lodging, will cost approximately $20,000. This is unfortunately not covered by insurance.
