Dog Rescuer Fund

My amazing friend Shelly Rovira and I need your support. She and I have spent so much time and money since last December trying to rescue a sweet abandoned dog, who she has named Grace, from a cold snowy mountain top in Utah where she had puppies. When spring came and the sheep were brought back to the mountain Grace found her way to a herd. Shelly was able to find her. I accompanied her to help her bring her off the mountain. There was a herder present. So to keep from having further trouble we decided the best way to handle the situation would be to purchase the dog since the herder claimed it was his. We climbed the mountain behind the herder to where he showed us the dog was. We had finally found Grace! We had to carry her down the mountain due to her awful condition. She was taken directly to the ER vet where she spent over 24 hours receiving care and IV fluids. She was less than 5% hydrated, full of worms, 50 lbs under weight and a 2 on the BMI scale. Over a thousand dollars was spent on her vet bill. Now the rancher has filed charges saying we stole his dog even though it’s not even his dog. We could really use some help with the legal fees.
