I've decided to take a stab at getting rid of the biggest stressor in my life currently--student debt. Hello, my name is Khadijah Pugh and I'm a queer black woman currently trying to pursue a degree in environmental science and policy. I've been volunteering through conservation work for nearly 7 years! I have experienced a few roadblocks along the way. While attending my first university, I ended up having to leave due to my parents' inability to cosign for a loan with credit issues. I struggled with our financial issues from a very young age, even dealing with homelessness a few times throughout middle and high school. I've never been able to rely on them for financial support in my education and I don't want this issue to continue affecting my credit negatively .
