For 40th birthday want food security after 22 yrs
Donation protected
I am an accidental advocate, forced to post and push on twitter for better social services.
But I sometimes have to fight for myself through gofundme. It is my 40th birthday on September 9th. For 22 of those years I've been on OntarioWorks or Ontario Disability Support Program. I've thought about it and I would like food security for a few months... No party, no friends, no family...just a good meal or two a day.
It has been damning, $1,169 a month for rent, food, clothes, toiletries and bills. My teeth have taken a toll, my eye is blind, I am in my room 24.5 hours a day just trying to stay calm.
My full diagnosis starting in childhood is Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, PTSD, Borderline and Histrionic personality disorders, major depressive disorder and after the trauma of slum apartments, homelessness and violent landlords I have developed agoraphobia and bulemia.
I never had a chance to heal or grow roots, even now I am white knuckled holding onto the edge expecting the worst.
Please help me to get some secure funding so I have have a few stable months and continue to push unheard stories into the limelight.
Even my small ripples of awareness could lead to the tsunami of change we need in society.
Thank you.
