Anita Gordon is one of the nicest and sweetest person you could ever meet. She is a friend to everyone and is willing to go out of her way to help a family member, a friend or a complete stranger. Anita’s family has been hit with an unexpected medical challenge that her family and friends would like to help her and her family.
On April 13, 2016, Anita’s 12-year old son, Langston, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), Stage IV, one of the most aggressive type of malignant brain tumors that currently has no known cure. During the initial diagnosis, the tumors had spread to different parts of his brain and he underwent brain surgery performed by his amazing Neurosurgeons at Dell’s Children Hospital in Austin, Texas.
This type of cancer is fast growing and has an extremely high recurrent rate. Halfway through his radiation and chemotherapy protocol and less than six weeks after surgery, a new MRI revealed that the tumor has regrown and has not responded as expected to radiation and chemotherapy. An additional surgery is a strong possibility and the family is actively seeking additional options to fight this horrible disease.
A number of people have inquired about a GoFundMe account to assist the family in this fight. This account is being established in response to those inquiries and any contributions would be appreciated.
