Flooded club house repair/replace

We are the Bayou City Flyers RC Airplane Club, whose home field is Dick Scobee Memorial Field in George Bush Park, Houston, TX. Like many others in our area, our club has suffered loss from the historic flood of April, 2016. Many, many people in our area have lost homes, cars, and sadly, a few even lost their lives to this terrible flood. While a recreational, not for profit organization, we still feel the pain the flood has brought us. Our club house will be in need of extensive repairs, or possibly even replacement. This is a large expense we had not anticipated.

While our club members use this facility primarily for recreation, we also occasionally have public events, such as hosting Boy Scout fly days where we share our hobby with young scouts.

Almost every day, you can come by the field and find student RC pilots getting FREE instruction from one of our several instructor pilots.
