22Authors Supporting Veterans
Donation protected
Most of us have heard the statistics—twenty-two veterans commit suicide a day. Our warriors, who were willing to risk their lives for us, sometimes sadly meet their end by their own hands.
Even one would be too many.
There are many issues that contribute to this tragic problem: PTSD, depression, lack of resources to deal with life-changing disabilities, etcetera. It is a weighty issue. It may feel like you can’t do anything to stop the tide of tragedy, but guess what? Just by picking up this anthology, you are doing something to help stop veteran suicide.
There are many wonderful organizations out there that are tackling this mountain head-on: providing service dogs, modifying homes for disabled veterans, and creating a lifeline for those on the edge of homelessness.
The 22 authors who are giving 100% of the profits from this project to organizations on the front lines of combating veteran suicide.
Thank you for doing something to help those who have sacrificed so much for us. If you read this and feel like you would like to do even more, please visit our GoFundMe page, where we will be collecting even more funds for these worthy organizations.
Twenty-two authors, twenty-two veterans—together we can make a difference.
We are distributing raised funds to these organizations:
Operation Renewed Hope - ending veteran homelessness
Southeastern Guide Dogs - trained specifically for veterans
Gary Sinise Foundation - suicide prevention
Lone Survivor Foundation - veteran support and suicide prevention
