HTLA's History Day Competition Trip

The History department is thrilled to share with you the results of our participation in History Day LA 2016, held this past Saturday March 12 at Azusa Pacific University.
HTLA fielded its largest team ever, with 45 participants creating entries on different historical topics. HTLA students competed against hundreds of students from across Los Angeles County.
The following students received 1ST PLACE in their category, and will be representing LA County in the California History Day competition, to be held in Sacramento in May 2016:

Individual Paper: Rose Meyers
Group Documentary: Paola Suarez, Jessi Peraza, Daniel Kradjian, Diego Paz
Group Documentary: Presyla Ruelas, Amit Severino, Anna Judson, Diego Valenzuela, Michael Meneses
Group Exhibit: Ashley Lavizadeh, Emali Brophy, Sol Dinay, Rachel Alaynick, Giuliano Milano
Along with Ms. Perkins, Ms. Doshi, Ms. Pawlik and Ms. Rybin, the students will be travelling to Sacramento by bus to compete at the state level. Please help them cover the costs of traspostation, food and lodging!
