Please support me in my efforts to get genetic testing for Huntington's Disease. This is not an easy journey for me and unfortunately it's kind of expensive.
The goal amount of $2,000 will cover my medical testing, counseling and travel expenses for the next few months as I begin a series of 4 visits, starting in two weeks.
Huntington's Disease is a hereditary disease that is passed through a dominant gene.

My mother suffers from this disease, and so did my grandmother. It causes symptoms similar to Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, except at the same time. Loss of memory and motor skills usually starts to onset in your 30s or 40s. I am 23 now.
Huntington's has been a source of tragedy in my family for generations and I want the trend to stop with me. I am among the last generation in my family to be a possible carrier of the gene. One day I want to start a family. I don't want this disease to sneak up on me if I can plan ahead.
