Z's Surgery

Hey everyone, I'm Michaelangelo aka Zhawa, an afro-native trans man from Milwaukee who recently moved across country. I can remember questioning my gender identity and expression as early as the age of 6, I began my journey of transitioning in early 2013 and started hormon replacement therapy in 2016. Once I started living in my truth I felt free of many mental burdens but still carry physical ones. At an early age I was using unsafe binding practices to ease dysphoria which has left me with a permanently deformed rib cage. For the safety of my health I have not binded for over three years, but in turn that has left the dysphoria to return. After a few life changes I had to put my plans on hold but am now able to continue the process. I plan to have surgery under Dr. Javad Sajan in Seattle Washington on June 16th 2021, who will perform double incision mastectomy.
