JFBL: Breonna Taylor Family Legal Fee Fund

This fundraiser is organized by Justice For Black Lives. We will oversee the withdrawal and distribution of funds.

We are starting this GoFundMe to cover the legal fees for the family and friends of Breonna Taylor. They were arrested and brutally assaulted by Grand Rapids Police Department on July 12th, 2020.

Justice For The Black will withdrawal the funds to our non-profit bank account for distribution. There are 7 parties affected by these arrest that took place. We are offering to split the total amount after fees 7 ways upon legal receipts as submitted. Parties affected will pay legal fees regarding this event upfront then submit receipts for reimbursement. Any funds left over or if the charges are dropped will be split by the two non-profit organizations the Tamika Palmer has identified to us to be the recipients.

*** Justice for Black Lives is a local nonprofit that was present the day of the arrest and attacks. The people arrested were family and friends of the Breonna Taylor (As is JFBL as an organization). We reached out to Tamika Palmer (Breonna's Mother) and have received her blessing to set up this fund to help with fees and court cost associated with the arrest.***
