Kitten Needs Funnel Chest Surgery
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
First of all thank you for taking the time to be here. We are here to help try and save our kitten Maleficent. She is an 8week old kitten. On Wednesday May 4th we found out she was diagnosed with a congenital disorder called Pectus Excavatum (Funnel Chest). She came into our home at about 5weeks old. Not being cared for her by the mom we decided to bring her in and give her a chance. This beautiful girl means more to us than just a pet. We are unable to have children and for the first time we have found that love. She is very energetic, loves to cuddle and even enjoys car rides. Also doesn't like her food unless there's a little smidgen of Blue Cheese. Please help us give her a life she deserves.
Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center in Towson, MD is the hospital we have chosen. We were referred by our vet. Dr. Weeren will be our surgeon. If you would like to call and verify please do at 1 [phone redacted]. The surgery itself is between $1400-$1600 and then roughly $500-$600 Total for the follow up appointments.
Once again thank you for reading our story. Please share with your friends.
Pectus excavatum is an abnormal development of the rib cage in which the breastbone (sternum) grows inward, which causes a sunken chest wall. Sometimes called "funnel chest," pectus excavatum is often present at birth (congenital) and can be mild or severe.
