The Shane's Septic
Donation protected
So... we are not expecting anyone to contribute but we thought it was worth a try at this point. We bought our first home about 2 years ago. Living in rural Vermont means that you most likely have a septic tank attached to a leach field. Turns out ours has failed. Having a new leach field installed by a professional will cost between $15,000 and $20, 000. We are hoping that we can install it ourselves for under $9,000 before the winter comes. For now we are fine; just like camping :) Dumping water from buckets, flushing as needed and setting up an outdoor solar shower. But when the snow flies and the ground freezes it’s going to be a different story. We have looked at all our options and we are at a loss. So we have decided to turn to friends, family and anyone that feels like helping to get us back on track. After we get enough money we will get started by getting an engineer for plans, paying fees to the state and then get all the parts we need. After that it’s just renting equipment and some strong backs to install it. After an inspection we should be ready to go and all settled in before winter. We want to say that we understand that life's lemons affect everyone and lots of people have it worse so thanks in advance to anyone who wants to kick down a few bucks to help us on our way.
