Flynn Rider Kerby
Spende geschützt
Flynn was born on February 22, 2016. Multiple doctors recommended that Flynn be aborted because at 16 weeks his mother, Ashleigh started losing fluid. Her sac ruptured. She continued to make fluid but it leaked out. She was put on bed rest in the hospital for the duration of her pregnancy. Because a baby's lungs develop from the amniotic fluid the doctors said that there was a slim chance Flynn would be born with lungs. He was delivered at 34 weeks and cried immediately to the surprise of everyone! He's truly a miracle and a fighter as he has beat all odds. But Flynn has not had an easy adjustment to life outside the womb. He has pulmonary hypoplasia. His lungs are malformed and immature and they fill with fluid. His is still in the NICU. He is on medications to keep him from drowning from fluid overload. He's been on a ventilator or oxygen constantly, had a blood transfusion, on a feeding tube and had to have surgery yesterday. Flynn is a fighter and needs his mom to be with him. His dad is working full time, in school and taking care of his big sister and tries to help Ashleigh get some relief from the NICU. They have exhausted all their savings and this month without help they will not be able to pay their house payment or any other household bills. If you can help this family maintain so Flynn can have his mom by his side we would be grateful.
