Walk for Warmth - for Safe Harbor

Donation protected
The Community Outreach Council is a group of Traverse City West Senior High School students who were selected for their leadership skills in order to organize and sponsor an event that benefits the Traverse City Area community. As a unit, we surveyed, researched and chose an area that most needed volunteer help.

We are hosting  an event to raise money for Safe Harbor.  Safe Harbor is an organization aiding those in our area who are experiencing homelessness by providing temporary shelter during the wintertime. The funds raised will help transport those in our area experiencing homelessness to the safe, warm churches that Safe Harbor provides. Your donation will help our team meet our goal of $5,000 to give to Safe Harbor's cause.

The event, a walk-a-thon, is called Walk for Warmth, and will be held at Thirlby Field in Traverse City, Michigan on May 21 from 11-5 . This entire event has been organized by a group of West Senior High School students. Please help us support the homeless population in Traverse City.

Here is a link to our Walk for Warmth Website  with more detailed information.

Choose whichever team below you wish to support. Each team promises to walk for at least an hour in exchange for your donation. All of the money raised, by all of the teams, will go to Safe Harbor.
