$2,341 for 2,341 miles!
On Monday July 19th, 2021, I will begin paddling the Missouri River, the longest in the U.S. at 2,341 miles, from Three Forks, Montana to St Louis, Missouri. I won’t reach my destination until sometime in September or October. I'm taking this life changing adventure in partnership with the Sierra Club to raise awareness about the work we do to protect the environment. In preparing for this longtime goal, I recognized how privileged I am to even be able do this, so I want this journey to also benefit my community. I plan to raise at least one dollar for every mile that I paddle. I'm going to donate the money to two Lincoln, Nebraska organizations working to make our world a better place. The first is the Blue Stem Sierra Club Group that works to bring more clean energy to our community in an equitable and inclusive way. The second recipient is the Indian Center Inc., a Native American community human services center that offers a range of support to Lincoln's Native population and beyond. Please help me support these awesome organizations and thanks in advance for helping me exceed my goal.
