Mia's Medical Expenses
Donativo protegido
The fact that you are even reading this means that you care, so we are hoping you care enough to donate - even the smallest amount will be a help and will be greatly appreciated.
My sister Nicole and I started this campaign in the hopes of raising some of the much needed funds to help cover the medical bills and final expenses for our sister in law Mia.
Mia was diagnosed several years ago with breast cancer, and beat it, unfortunately at the end of last year the cancer returned invading her lung and liver, and this time she received a terminal diagnosis. She decided to attempt the chemotherapy that was recommended, but has recently decided to stop her treatments and has entered into hospice care. If you have ever been affected yourself by cancer, or know someone who has, you can understand the devastation and heartbreak her diagnosis has brought to our family. Prayers are always a huge help at a time like this, but being frank, financial help is deperately needed as well. My brother Burt takes care of her at home, while trying to maintain a reasonable work schedule as they have been reduced to one income for the past several months.
We are not normally a family that "goes public" with our issues, or asks for help from strangers, as we like to take care of our own. We know that MANY of you know Burt and Mia personally, and consider them family, so we're hoping that you will help and spread the word by sharing this to your Facebook pages and giving what you can, if you can.
As many of you are aware Burt and Mia currently live in Florida. My mom has been down there for several weeks now to help my brother as much as she can, and to help him prepare for what is to come. My sister and I unfortunately cannot be there to help - so we're doing this in the hopes that it will ease his financial burden as Mia does not have life insurance.
I cannot stress enough how eternally grateful my family will be for any donations we can collect for them. If you cannot donate, please please please continue to pray for her to have a peaceful transition when the time comes, and for my brother for being selfless and grace filled in such a trying time.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and please share share share!!
