Mike's Cancer Treatment fund

My brother-in-law Mike Trowbridge was diagnosed with prostate cancer November 2015. The treatment he will be having is High Intensity Focused Ultrasound "HIFU", however, after several attempts and denials the insurance refuses to pay for the HIFU treatment he needs. Without insurance approval the procedure is outrageously unaffordable. However, the doctor offered Mike an opportunity to participate in a teaching environment to train other doctors on the procedure for a considerably less amount. Because this procedure has less risks and side effects it's popular in other countries but insurance has refused to cover in the United States.

The Trowbridge family has suffered many medical problems in recent years, each of them battling their own conditions. Mike often puts his own health aside to provide and care for his family, and now it's time for us to help him. This procedure requires him to travel away from his family, and will cost a minimum of $10,000.
