Help for the Parker family
Donation protected
On Saturday April 30, 2016 my friend and neighbor Scott Parker was working on a tree in his yard and fell from his ladder. His wife Linda knew immediately that his injury was bad and called an ambulance. Scott was transported to Stony Brook Hospital where the doctors determined that Scott had numerous lacerations and a very serious compound fracture of the leg. Scott was taken into surgery that night and again on Monday. The damage to Scott's leg is extensive and he will need metal plates put in to fix the bone. Doctors are unsure if they will be able to save his foot at this point. Whatever the outcome, it is already known that Scott's recovery will be long and difficult. Scott's doctors are hoping to operate and add the plates on Monday if the swelling in his foot has gone down.
Scott's salary is the main source of income for the Parker family. Scott's inability to work leaves the family in a difficult financial situation. Unknown medical expenses are a concern for the family as well.
I am asking the community to come together in support of this special family. As many of you know, Scott goes above and beyond for our community. He has volunteered countless hours and held the position of Cub Master for our Cub Scout Pack 204. Scott is currently on the board at North Shore Little League and spends many hours of his own time to maintain the fields of this establishment for the children of our community. He is also a coach for his son's team at North Shore Little League.
Most importantly, Scott is a husband and a father. Scott's wife Linda and his three children have been by his side since his accident. To lessen any financial burden during this emotionally draining time would be a blessing to the Parker family. Thank you for any prayers and help you are able to give them in their time of need.
