South Congress Veterinary Clinic
Donation protected
My name is Betsy Williams. I have had the pleasure of working at South Congress Veterinary (formerly Stallworth Veterinary Clinic) since we took over the building in 2001. The Clinic was originally built in the summer of 1936. It is now endanger of being lost forever.
The family has decided it is time to sell the land which i'm sure will just be turned in to yet more condos cluttering up even more of our beautiful Austin neighborhood.
We have strived to provide low cost care for our wonderful clients as well as many rescue groups. It breaks my heart that not only will this historic clinic be gone but so will housing for so many rescued animals, not to mention what will happen to the sick pets whose owners can't afford the hugh fees other places charge.
I have dedicated all of my heart to this clinic and will continue to do so with your help, I work 363 days a year to make sure these babies always have the love and care they are owed. Dr Hardesty works tirelessly even when he broke his arm, had an emergency appendectomy and went through chemo theropy and radiation during his battle with Cancer. We have endured water damage during bad storms and fallen trees not to mention when drunk teenagers drove through the corner of the building.
We will not be stopped, we will endure but only with your help. I realize this is a lot to ask but I can't give up.
Even now as my heart breaks and the tears stream down my face I continue to fight and will not stop.
Please help us to continue so we can continue to help our furry friends. Thank you for your time,
