Kyle and Jessy Walsh
This campaign is in support of a great couple who have recently endured a emotional roller coaster of a ride.
This campaign is being put forward to help Kyle and Jessy Walsh originally from the Niagara region, who have since relocated a few years ago to Fort McMurray, Alberta.
As many friends and family members know, Kyle and Jessy recently gave birth to their handsome and supper strong powerhouse of a boy back in April of this year. Weiging in at a solid 1lb 6oz and wearing the Sesame Street pampers that are 2 sizes too big, lets all give a warm welcome to Aiden!
Aiden took it upon himself, to say hello to the world a little earlier than expected....approximately 4 months earlier than expected to be exact.
Aiden decided he had enough of being all warm and cozy in mommy's belly and wanted to see what the real world was all about.
Mom and dad where a little nervous with Aiden's decision to grace them with his presence so early, however as the anxious and awesome parents that they are, they welcomed him to this world with open and loving arms.
As the birth of Aiden came quicker than planned, the Walsh family had to quickly relocate away from their home in Fort McMurray and flew to Edmonton which is approximately 4 hours away by car.
Kyle and Jessy are extremely thankful with all the support of the medical staff in Fort McMurray as well as Edmonton.
Kyle and Jessy were very fortunate that they were given the opportunity to stay close to the hospital at the nearby Ronald McDonald house.
** Note ** Many Big Macs have been consumed and enjoyed by Kyle and Jessy's family and friends on May 4th to support Ronald McDonald house! Yummy.
And now back to our story.........Part 2.
As we fast forward from the beginning of April to the beginning of May, we are all aware of the tragic wild fires that have made their way in the community of Fort McMurray. After taking a few weeks off from work and enjoying spending time with his growing family, Kyle recently returned back home to work during the first week of May after the arrival of his mother Diane in Edmonton to offer additional care and support. Kyle felt a little more at ease knowing he could return to work and have someone by Jessy's side.
Last week as the wild fires where starting to get out of control, Kyle was told to leave work and head home to gather some of his belongings while he still had time.
As Kyle tried to make his way home, he was denied access to his home and was forced to leave the city with no way of returning back home for even a few short minutes to grab any personal and sentimental belongings. Kyle drove south towards Edmonton once again, hoping to reunite with his family while dodging the out of control flames that where blistering the highway in hopes of making it far enough from the fire in search of a gas station while he was sure to run out of fuel if he didn't find one.
Kyle eventually was reunited with open arms by Jessy, Aiden and Diane with only the clothes on his back and doused in the thick smell of smoke from the out of control fires. Everything that Kyle and Jessy have built for themselves in Fort McMurray is left as a question mark at this time. It's very likely that the Walsh's may have lost their home and all of their personal posessions. Only time will tell.
This campaign is not intended to be a cry for help, Kyle and Jessy are very proud and strong individuals who wouldn't ask for any help, but sometimes you don't need to ask, the people around you who care for you and love you will rally together because that's what people do.
Any funds donated will directly support Kyle, Jessy and Aiden by helping with all of the small stuff we take for granted everyday. Cloting, shelter, food, hygiene products, and the list goes on.
Material things can and will be replaced over time. At this time, this campaign is all about focusing on today, and being able to support Kyle and Jessy's journey to stay by Aiden's side for the coming months. When the dust and smoke settles in Fort McMurray, the Walsh's will tackle and conquor that challenge as well!
For now, lets help this family be a family.
