Kona's leg amputation
Donation protected
Born from a breeder who thought she wasn’t good enough because of her missing leg, Kona was given to a high kill shelter in Staten Island to be euthanized at the age of 3 weeks old. Fur friends in need rescued her where I then was lucky enough to foster her and she has continued to change my life for the better every day. Now at 10 weeks old, we need to better hers. What is left of Kona’s leg continues to bother her as she grows. Infection and pain are huge possibilities that we can’t gamble with. We have found a doctor who will remove the rest of it so Kona can grow to be happier and healthier without any further issues from her leg. But without the funds we can’t make it happen. 3000 is a lot to ask but any amount will help; Kona and the rest of our family appreciate anything that anyone can give. Any money we still have after the surgery will be donated to Fur friends in need to help with the amazing work they do. Thank you so much!
