What a year for Kyle!
With just one year of high school wrestling behind him, he’s already caught the attention of the wrestling community. He is the 2016 CA Folkstyle State Champion, CA Freestyle Bronze Medalist and the 2016 Folkstyle All American, just to name a few of his accomplishments. This does not include the countless number of local tournaments won and the hours of training that he spends honing his skills.
It’s been a whirlwind to say the least and to top it all, he’s qualified for Fargo to be part of the California Cadet/Junior Olympic National Championship Team! This is the largest wrestling tournament in the WORLD and most prestigious for his age group. It is where the best of the best go to compete. We are all gushing with pride and can’t wait to see how he does out there, but first he’s got to get there.
All of the travelling he’s been doing has been great and the experience he is getting is priceless, but unfortunately there is a literal price to pay for it all and it’s taking a toll on his family.
USA Wrestling does not cover travel expenses for their young athletes, but we want to show Kyle our support and let him know that we WILL get him there!
Olympic wrestler, Jordan Burroughs has said, “Success is the peace of mind knowing that you’ve given your all into achieving a goal.” I don’t want Kyle to sit and wonder, “what if I went….”. He needs this experience. He needs to go to Fargo. He has come too far to pass this one up. It’s the way his freshman wrestling year was meant to end.

The competition is July 16-23. So we've go to get this campaign going! All funds will go towards Kyle's travel expenses and will also give his proud father, Randy, the opportunity to watch his son on tournament day.
