Jeff & Hazel Support Fund

Dear friends & family of Jeff and Hazel Hackett,

I'm writing on Jeff and Hazel's behalf for a show of support, both financial and otherwise. For reasons I will not get into on Facebook, my brother Jeff finds himself a single dad raising Hazel in San Antonio, Texas, where the birth mother and her family reside. Thankfully Jeff has enjoyed solid support from the birth mother's family since Hazel's birth 8 1/2 months ago, notwithstanding the issues with the birth mother herself. He continues to enjoy the family's support.  Unfortunately, today, the birth mother removed all of the furniture in Jeff's apartment that had been donated by her family originally. So, Jeff and Hazel are without the most basic furnishings in their home - including a sofa, dresser for Hazel, and other items.

Jeff has been incredibly stoic throughout the last very difficult months. The bright light of Hazel has kept his eye on what's important in life and even with today's development, he has not lost his spirit.

Neverthless, I think it would be lovely for Jeff if we could rally to his aid. Any amount of donation would be very warmly received, so that he can make his house with Hazel a home again.

Jeff is a healthy, employed, extremely proud first time father. He is bearing the expense of Hazel's care and keeping all by himself, including child care while he works. I know they would be very grateful for any support - even a private note to Jeff would be so wonderful at this time.
