We had great hopes for 2016! Daryl & I had recently welcomed our sweet Kamryn into the world. But only days after Her first Christmas, my father began to have severe kidney/back pain. Thinking it may be stones or a mild infection he went to his doctor. He was then diagnosed with a very large (melon) size tumor which had taken over the majority of his L kidney. As tests/labs would continue to show as the days went on, this cancer had long been brewing and had now metastasized to his lungs, lymphatic system, & a small lesion was found on the brain. Diagnosis: stage 4 renal Cell carcinoma. Terminal. Our family was devastated.

As soon as our hearts could digest all this horrible news, we would learn this was only the beginning.... On the week of New Years, my parents took a short trip to visit family in Talahassee. My mom began to have severe abdominal pain where she was later rushed to the hospital with a diagnosis of appendicitis & underwent immediate operation for it to be removed. Doctors opened her up & noticed there was something more severe developing in her colon. They promptly removed her (perfectly intact) appendix, closed her up & sent her on her way- making recommendations to have a GI consult as soon as she healed from this otherwise pointless surgery. The appendix was never the problem to begin with. Her colonoscopy would later show a large mass that had developed and would need removal. During the removal of this mass, the surgeon began to see how far this terrible cancer had spread. It had metastisized throughout her abdominal wall leading to her diagnosis: stage 4 colon cancer. Terminal.

Dad has since been hospitalized multiple times for severe complications associated with the toxic chemotherapy he has been taking. Losing over 70 lbs, (severe weight loss) inability to eat, tongue swelling, severe abdominal pain & extreme fatigue has forced him unable to tolerate this toxic & ineffective approach. He is currently hospitalized due to severe pulmonary edema because the cancer is fighting back once chemo was terminated.

My heart is truly beyond any repair at this point. Mom is said to start "chemo" in 5 weeks with terminal outlooks from supposed "doctors". I cannot give up faith that the Lord has plans for our family & I seek him minute by minute for guidance through this horrible valley. I have located several cancer treatment centers with immunotherapy oncology Approaches based on use of the bodies natural ability to fight cancer. Here they will use vaccines, targeted approaches, dietary changes & herbal remedies integrated with state of the art discoveries to begin healing the body from within rather than killing every thing on site. As we all know, chemo is & always will be a toxic pharmaceutical band-aide to surpress all bodily functions both good and bad..... They are both fairly young & are such an important part of our all our lives! They have always been there for our entire family. -Always! They have Always been the support & love that pulled us through when times were tough. It is so unfair to see them in such agony & with little hope for any cure without the support of others during this time! My sweet baby girl will just be turning one soon! It is with great sadness to think of her growing up without the memory of these two amazing people in her life! Grandma & grandpa :( Please!! please!! please!!
