Staci’s Cancer Treatment

My 22 year old sister, Staci, was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. The good news is: Staci is officially on the schedule to get her thyroidectomy this Friday! The bad news: even with insurance, this is already proving to be an expensive event. The MRI revealed the cancer has spread to 2 total lymph nodes. So she is getting a complete thyroidectomy, along with a neck dissection for the removal of those lymph nodes. Staci has been working while in nursing school full-time to pay her way through. She also recently moved back in with our mom to save money. We know that times are tough for everyone right now, with so many people without jobs/security.
