Baltimore blizzard fire survivors
Donation protected
I am a mom of a 7 year old at Highlandtown Elementary/Middle #215 (in Baltimore City) and my daughter's classmate, Michael lost everything during a fire in Baltimore City that burned through five row homes. The fire occured during the blizzard and the trucks were delayed getting to the home. Thankfully everyone in the family is ok, but they are unable to live in their home and they have nothing. While the teachers at Highlandtown #215, and others (including Pastor Mark's church across the street from the school) have been wonderful about securing donated clothes and gift cards for daily living needs, what the mom really needs is money to get back on her feet. The funds will be used for rent in a new apartment, household goods, clothes and everything else it takes to rebuild a life lost.
Michael is one of the sweetest kids I know. Una sat by him for most of kintergarden and we felt like Michael was a family member given how much she talked about him. Please donate any money you can spare to help this family. They will use the money right away as this is an immediate and urgent need. His mother has given me permission to create this gofundme group on her behalf.
