Mathew's Funeral Expenses

As I am sure you are all aware, Andrea Mathews died this past Sunday on Mother’s Day. This announcement came as quite a shock to all of us.  The Andrea we knew was only 45 years old and full of life, how could this happen to her? Obviously, this has deeply saddened all of us and I would like to thank so many of you for your thoughts and prayers.

 Andrea, Eddy, and her family have meant so much to all of us. The memories flood into our minds as we reflect back to post game at Jenison Field House.  Andrea would always be there waiting for us after matches with her beautiful smile, big loving hugs, and words of encouragement. Win or lose, she always made us feel like a million bucks. I am sure we can all share wonderful memories of Andrea … this is truly a huge loss.

I am writing to you today because the Mathews family needs our help. I was hoping that you would join me in making a donation to help offset not only the funeral but also the unexpected costs that will surely come for a father suddenly caring for a family of five.

At this point, services have not been scheduled but we are hoping to have word soon and keep you updated. Thank you for your consideration of this request.  We love you all and treasure the many memories we have with all of you :)

As a Spartan, I know we will rise up and stand strong for one of our own!
