Help Support Emily and Emma

With Steve, Amy and Bradley we welcome two miracle babies into our lives.
The twins were born very prematurely at 27 weeks on May 7, 2016.

Emily Marie weighed 1 lb. 9 oz and twelve inches long.
She has undergone one blood transfusion and may need more as time goes on. Emily’s NICU nurse reminds her to breathe and swallow throughout the day because she tends to forget this important job.

Emma Louise on the other hand was born with too much blood. It has also been discovered that she was born with a hole in her heart that may require open heart surgery as she grows stronger. She weighs 2 lbs. 1 oz and is thirteen inches.

Both babies are breathing on their own with the assistance of a stable bubbler cpap.

We thank all the people who continue to pray for Emily and Emma and we thank God for the miracle babies he has given this family.

The reality though is there’s still a long way to go before the twins come home. The hospital is one hour away from Steve and Amy’s home. They are about to incur the added expense of traveling to Kalamazoo and back until the twins are able to come home which the doctors have said will be around their due date of August 6th. There may even be an occasional hotel room as needed. We have started this Campaign to help offset these expenses and any others such as copays and deductibles.

Please give this request prayerful reflection and give what you can. We will keep you updated on the progress Emma and Emily make as well as Amy, Steve and big brother Bradley.
