Lilly’s Gender Affirming Surgery Fund

Hi! My name is Lilly Vaal and I am an 18-year-old transgender woman. From the minute I could talk and express myself as a toddler, I was always attracted to dolls, tutus, and everything pink. I for sure knew something was up when I had my first crush on a boy in kindergarten, which I don’t know why but I wanted to marry him, and I didn’t picture myself in a tux, but a wedding dress at that. It was when I was 8 years old when I finally made the transition, I started growing out my hair, started going by Lilly, and wearing girly clothes to school, which wasn’t as easy as you’d think, parents and the school were mad when I showed up in a skirt for the first time and sent me home almost immediately for it, exposing me to discrimination at such a young age, which no person, let alone a child deserves. Of course, students and people my age have bullied me as well, but with all these experiences I have grown a thick skin and brush off any form of bullying/discrimination. It has now been a decade since I transitioned and although I am more than lucky to have parents who love me unconditionally and support my journey, money is tight and we cannot pay for my Gender Affirming Surgery out of pocket ourselves. With the donated money, you’d be helping my family and I pay for the surgery and all the care I’ll need post-operation. This surgery has been on my mind non-stop ever since I was 8 years old and I knew I could get it done and as I enter adulthood it feels like a missing piece in the puzzle and I hope you can help make this girl the happiest person in the world by donating!
