Family Recovery Fund from the Juniper Fire
Donation protected
On Saturday August 15th at about 4pm a fire broke out north of Bend caused by a motor home’s hot exhaust. The fire spread quickly and burned nearly 40 acres of land. While the fire occurred in largely undeveloped land, it still managed to destroy a small local family-owned shop. Caesar Hernandez, owner of C.A.R.S. auto repair shop and father of five, was one of the two victims of the fire. Caesar is a self taught mechanic who has spent his lifetime dedicated to building his shop and supporting his family. From coming to the United States with nothing and working straight out of his car to finally attaining his own shop in Bend, he’s always been willing to humbly and graciously help anyone in need no matter their financial situation. The devastation from the fire left nothing in its wake, forcing Caesar to start from scratch as he lost a lifetime of tools and machines. His family is trying to raise funds to help him start his business back up as this was their main source of income. Every dollar helps and if you can’t afford to donate we would appreciate it if you would share our story. Thank you.
