Michael Diven Funeral

For my Uncle Mike. To so many people, Michael Diven was known for the great things he did for the City of Pittsburgh. He served on the Pittsburgh City Council and represented the South Hills community as a member of the House of Representatives. Michael accomplish things that many thought were impossible. Most notable -battle on the bridge and the donnybrook. To his family and friends, Michael was a gentle giant with a big heart who loved his wife, children, family, and his Irish heritage. He was one of a kind and was taken away from us way too soon when he passed on 8/18 unexpectedly. He leaves behind his wife Shannon and three young children 13, 10, & 9. Because Michael brought so much to many of us, let’s honor him by giving something back. Due to his battle with cancer, Michael was unable to purchase life insurance. Along with funeral expenses, this fundraiser will help ease Shannon’s financial burden to allow her to focus on the children’s needs now and as much as possible into the future.
