Makeesha Starks Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Makeesha Starks was an employee on campus at the Rush University Medical Center. She was killed early May 12, 2016 in a horrific tragedy-- one that betrays how bright and amazing of a person she was.
I can personally speak to the many times when just hanging with her and talking to her for a few minutes could transform a bad day into a good one. I suspect that many medical students also had the privilege of interacting with her and benefiting from her consistently good vibes.
Makeesha's mother lost her daughter and her husband in this horrible event. If we can each donate a small amount for funeral costs, hopefully we can lessen one burden this woman has to face in the near future.
