Hi, my name is Yaneira (Yani), and this campaign is for my little boy Kenny — our nearly 10-year-old French Bulldog, who has been an essential part of our family since the day he was born. We are a family of three: my son, Kenny, and me. When we moved here, Kenny came with us, joining us in this new chapter with his unconditional love, loyalty, and patience. He’s been our emotional anchor ever since.

Recently, Kenny suffered a severe allergic flare-up — a condition he has battled since he was a puppy. This time, it was so intense that he scratched his right eye badly. We rushed him to UrgentVet Boca Raton, but the damage was irreversible. The following day, at the Veterinary Eye Institute in Deerfield, his eye had to be surgically removed.

It broke our hearts. We’ve done everything we can for him, but the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. Veterinary care — especially in emergency situations — can become incredibly expensive. Between the overnight emergency room visit, surgery, medications, follow-up appointments, and special care, the financial strain has been difficult for our family. I also had to take time off work to provide him with the attention and care he needs to heal.

That’s why we’re reaching out. Any donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Kenny the comfort and care he deserves as he recovers.

Recientemente, Kenny sufrió una fuerte crisis alérgica — una condición con la que ha luchado desde cachorro. Esta vez fue tan intensa que se lastimó gravemente su ojo derecho al rascarse. Lo llevamos de urgencia a UrgentVet Boca Ratón, pero el daño fue irreversible. Al día siguiente, en el Veterinary Eye Institute de Deerfield, tuvieron que removerle quirúrgicamente el ojo.

Fue devastador. Hemos hecho todo lo posible por él, pero el impacto emocional y financiero ha sido muy duro. La atención veterinaria —especialmente en emergencias— puede ser extremadamente costosa. Entre la sala de urgencias nocturna, la cirugía, los medicamentos, las citas de seguimiento y sus cuidados especiales, la carga económica ha sido muy difícil para nuestra familia. También he tenido que dejar de trabajar algunos días para poder cuidarlo y estar a su lado durante su recuperación.

Por eso recurrimos a ustedes. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, nos acerca un poco más a brindarle a Kenny el cuidado y la comodidad que necesita para sanar.
