24 Hour Food Pantry Fishathon 5.5 Roscommon County

My name is Frank Krajenka. I am a lifelong resident of northern lower Michigan, particularly in the Crawford County/Grayling and Roscommon County/Houghton Lake areas.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help stock the shelves at the Crawford County Community Christian Help Center in Grayling. This is my 5th annual event in which I will spend 24 hours straight in my kayak on Houghton Lake, raising monetary and food donations. After my time on the water, I will take all the money donated and spend all of it at the local grocery stores. Once the shopping is done, I will take all the food and donate it to the food pantry.

There are two minor differences this year. First off, I have extended my time in the kayak to 36 hours straight, and second, I have included a second food pantry creating a little friendly rivalry between the neighboring communities of Crawford and Roscommon counties.
