Hey there! My name is Jesse and I'm running on very little sleep and I'm about to be up for the next 24 hours livestreaming to raise money for this, so hopefully this makes sense! I'm getting surgery in less than two weeks and my insurance denied part of it today (and by "today," I mean I found out literally a few hours ago.) CareCredit isn't able to help me and I'm down to my last thinking good oh no my brain is tired stay on topic Jesse okay OKAY

My insurance covered a bunch of the surgery (hooray!) but there are a few bits that they decided were "cosmetic," (which is of course nonsense and I will be in a good bit of pain until they're taken care of because education around this subject is really just so abysmal, but that's a topic for another day,) so let's do our best to carve out our own destiny in a world on fire.

I'm keeping this vague because I don't know A) what naughty names I can call my insurance on here and B) how much I can talk about the surgery on here. I'm totally down to answer any questions about it on stream though, as long as you're respectful and here to hang and be chill, cowabunga rockhand emoji. Can I post actual emojis? We'll figure that out later.

A lot of very cool people are helping out with flying in to take care of me after surgery and staying with me and all that jazz, which is very much appreciated. I am going to play very silly video games and probably other things on stream! I've raised the goal a little bit to help take care of fees, so if we're able to do even the bare, bare minimum, I will be eternally grateful. I'm rushing to start this because I realized GoFundMe takes 2-5 business days to release the funds (and they're due for surgery on the 26th at noon CST,) so let's power through the next 24 hours and not think about naps and how good one would feel.
