Severe Pit Bull attack Surgery ASAP

Hello All!
I was woken up this morning with a call by my best friend, Marcia. She was crying, saying that Peluche, her dog is in the animal hospital right now. Peluche, a medium size Shih Tzu was attacked by a neighbor's Pit Bull while on his way home from normal evening walk with my friend and her fiance. It was reported that the unleashed Pit Bull ran outside towards them, grabbed Peluche by the jaw and start dragging him across the street. My friend`s fiance ran after dogs and was able to take away bleeding Peluche from Pit Bull`s mouth. But Pit Bull chased him back trying to fight back Peluche, and then bit my friend by the leg who was holding Peluche. Pit Bull`s owner ran outside grabbed his dog by the collar and dragged him back into the house. Bleeding Peluche was taken to the animal hospital. Unfortunately, his jaw is fractured in two places. He was stitched up but needs jaw surgery ASAP to be able to use it.

Also, after Police showed up and went to question the Pit Bull`s owner. The lights were shut off in the entire house and he never opened the door.
