Single mother of 2

Hello and thank you for talking the time to stop and read this story. I created this fundraiser in an attempt to help raise some funds for a longtime, high school friend of mine and her family. Her name is Pamela and she has 2 girls age 3 and 4 (father is in prison) as well as her ailing, live-in mother. Pam was laid off from her employer about a month ago and they are currently surviving off of her mom's disability check as her meager savings has been depleted at this point. Pam applied for unemployment benefits in Florida but was initially denied (she is appealing the decision). She has also applied for State food stamp assistance which is currently in processing as everything in Florida is moving at a snails pace. I've done what I could to help her family out financially but now I'm turning to the power of social media for further help as they are facing rent due, utilities etc. Pam is a figher and I'm positive she will hit the ground running and do whatever she can to take care of her baby girls and mother - she just needs a little boost like many of us have needed at some point in our lives.
