Hi to Everyone, My Community and My Neighbors,
First, I want to say THANK YOU for the love and support everyone has been showing my fur-baby King Zeus. We call him King for short.
For anyone that doesn't know about the terrible accident that happened 4/1/2021 @ 10:30pm. Please read and share. I'm at the vets now getting him more comfortable with pain management at the VSH hospital in Durham, NC and I've also requested that go ahead and complete the X-rays while we're here. That'll get us one step closer. I'm not sure the exact cost but the vets has stated this is around the minimum cost of $6500. I'm currently looking around inquiring with other vet hospital that my Community has suggested. I tried to do this on my own without help but my great neighbors and Community has been reaching out to help and WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE! I will keep everyone updated on King's progress.
I've never asked for much but anything will help. In this instance, as a puppy mommy I've had to learn to put my pride aside because it's about my baby and not myself. Thank you so much!
This is how our story began:
Just asking for prayers... please. My baby... King Zeus was hit by a car tonight around 9:45p in my parking lot. I had just parked, I put his leash on his harness...and I thought I locked the retractable leash. As a neighbor was walking by with his dog, King ran toward him as a car was driving pass. I took him to vet hospital on NC 751 for treatment. They made him comfortable but I'm unable to afford overnight care. The charges was over $2k, just for an overnight observation. We were able to work out a plan to give pain meds and antibiotics until I can get him to a more affordable hospital. They said he may have a fracture right above his elbow on his right paw and needs surgery. They were charging almost $5,000 for the surgery. I can't afford that so I'm taking him to Thrive hospital tomorrow. I'm not looking for help but prayers only. He's my baby. He's only 8 mths and this is breaking our hearts. Keep him in your prayers. Please.
