Peter Jordan's Memorial Service
Donation protected
Peter Jordan is the father of 6 children, and has one granddaughter and has a grandson on the way. His youngest is a student at Scituate High School. He's currently battling endstage liver cancer. His fight has been an incredible struggle for him and his family. Both emotionally and financially.
Peter is a Scituate townie. He attended Scituate High School. He loves golfing ( but I'm told he wasn't very good at it). Peter only 58 years old, doesn't want to burden his children with the cost of a funeral. His children are split on what their wishes are, but I hate the fact money is a part of their conversations.
Peter would rather his friends and family all get together and remember the good times, tell funny stories and share each other's strength and love through this very difficult time. He doesn't want his children to go into debt while putting to him rest.
I'm hoping we as a community can take some of this burden away from Maggie, Jake, Shane, Cody and Justin, and Jennifer. Allowing them to spend what time Dad has left being together without having to deal with the weight and burden of financal decisions. Maybe there will be enough money raised so they can have a small funeral and a Celebration of Life event.
Maggie has already buried her Mom when she was in elementary school. She is currently living with friends. She needs our help Scituate!
Any money that isn't used for Peter's burial and Celebration of Life, will be added to the education fund that was set up for Maggie when her mom Sheila, who was only 43 passed away of a sudden heart attack in 2008.
Peter and his kids have never asked for help. They have always made do. That can't happen now. My heart breaks for these young adults dealing with the worst life has to offer. It would be great if we show them some human kindness and generosity as a community during these days with their dad.
