Hello, my name is Petra and I am fundraising for a surgical procedure that my brother Harvey urgently needs. I want to help my courageous brother who can't keep fighting on his own anymore. The procedure is not covered by his health insurance and our family is not eligible to get a loan in such a short time. This is why I am sure we can all get together and raise all the necessary funds for his recovery.

After a tremor and weakness in his left hand, Harvey was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor stage 4 in January 2018. Imagine being a father-to-be and hearing such a bone-chilling diagnosis with a survival rate of a couple of months. He was devastated, but decisive in overcoming it.

He has beaten all odds and in these four years has had an invasive brain tumor removal surgery, rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation therapy which he had twice (most recently in October this year). He has been attending experimental treatments all over Europe, helping support research on this devastating cancer, so that other people have some hope for the treatment of it. He also worked full time and started raising his little family and was looking forward to a 5-year mark of being cancer free.

Covid years came and in spite of being of an extremely vulnerable immunity, he contributed a lot to the company he was working for and their little family welcomed a second baby girl in August last year. He was happy and hopeful for a lovely future. Regular MRI scans showed no sign of the tumor and he regained all of his strength.

A white speckle reappeared on a scan in September 2021 and this led to a quick growth into a 7-centimeter tumor which deteriorated his health and mobility rapidly. Second, more dangerous radiation therapy was needed. He bravely underwent all fourteen of his appointments, knowing that it will affect his mental health and physical abilities, hopeful of once again shrinking the tumor. He started to have seizures and difficulties moving the left side of his body due to radiation and the size of the tumor. He kept doing everything to keep his mobility but the effects started to be too big to handle.

Hopefully, Harvey found a clinic in Germany that does MRI-guided Laser ablation of Glioblastoma treatment. However, this procedure is not covered by his health insurance. He is courageous to try it and all he needs now are the funds. Let's help him continue the fight and be able to raise his two little girls. All the funds are going to go to cover the bill for the surgery, his stay at the clinical center, and special transportation to Germany.

Pozdrav, moje ime je Petra i prikupljam sredstva za operaciju koju moj brat Hrvoje hitno treba. Želim pomoći svom hrabrom bratu koji se više ne može sam boriti. Zahvat ne pokriva njegovo zdravstveno osiguranje i naša obitelj nema pravo na kredit u tako kratkom roku. Sigurna sam da svi zajedno možemo prikupiti sva potrebna sredstva za njegov oporavak.

Nakon što je osjetio drhtanje i slabost u lijevoj ruci, Hrvoju je u siječnju 2018. dijagnosticiran rak mozga glioblastoma stadija 4. Zamislite da čekate bebu i čujete takvu dijagnozu sa stopom preživljavanja od nekoliko mjeseci. Bio je shrvan, ali odlučan se boriti.

U ove četiri i pol godine prošao je kroz operaciju uklanjanja tumora na mozgu, cikluse kemoterapije i dva puta zračenje (posljednji put u listopadu ove godine). Križ godine je hodao na eksperimentalne tretmane diljem Europe, podupirući istraživanja o ovom razornom raku, tako da i drugi ljudi imaju nadu za njegovo liječenje. Također je radio puno radno vrijeme i počeo podizati svoju malu obitelj te se veselio petogodišnjoj oznaci bez raka.

Došle su godine Covida i unatoč izuzetno slabom imunitetu, puno je pridonio tvrtki u kojoj je radio, a njihova je mala obitelj u kolovozu prošle godine dočekala drugu djevojčicu. Bio je sretan i pun nade u lijepu budućnost. Redoviti MRI pregledi nisu pokazali nikakve znakove tumora i on je povratio svu svoju snagu.

Bijela točkica se pojavila na snimci u rujnu 2021. i to je dovelo do brzog rasta tumora do 7 centimetara koji je naglo pogoršao njegovo zdravlje i pokretljivost. Bila je potrebna opasnija terapija zračenjem po drugi puta. Hrabro se podvrgnuo svih četrnaest svojih termina, znajući da će to utjecati na njegovo mentalno zdravlje i fizičke sposobnosti, nadajući se da će ponovno smanjiti tumor. Počeo je imati napadaje i poteškoće s kretanjem lijeve strane tijela zbog zračenja i veličine tumora. Nastavio je činiti sve kako bi zadržao pokretljivost, ali učinci su postali preveliki da bi se mogao nositi s njima.

Na njegovu sreću, medicinska tehnologija je bitno uznapredovala u ovih skoro pet godina. Hrvoje je pronašao kliniku u Njemačkoj koja radi lasersku ablaciju liječenja glioblastoma vođenu MRI-om koja je operativni postupak. Međutim, ovaj postupak nije pokriven od strane zdravstvenog osiguranja jer je u eksperimentalnoj fazi. Hrabar je pokušati i sve što mu sada treba su sredstva. Pomozimo mu da nastavi borbu i da odgoji svoje dvije djevojčice.

La procédure n'est pas couverte par son assurance maladie a cause de sa phase expérimentale. C'est pourquoi je suis sûr que nous pouvons tous nous rassembler et collecter tous les fonds nécessaires à son rétablissement.

Après un tremblement et une faiblesse de la main gauche, Harvey a reçu un diagnostic de tumeur cérébrale glioblastome multiforme de stade 4 en janvier 2018. Imaginez être un futur père et entendre un diagnostic aussi effrayant avec un taux de survie de quelques mois. Il était dévasté, mais décisif pour le surmonter.

Il a battu tous les pronostics et au cours de ces quatre années, il a subi une chirurgie invasive d'ablation d'une tumeur cérébrale, des cycles de chimiothérapie et de radiothérapie qu'il a subis deux fois (le plus récemment en octobre de cette année). Il a assisté à des traitements expérimentaux dans toute l'Europe, aidant à soutenir la recherche sur ce cancer dévastateur, afin que d'autres personnes aient un peu d'espoir pour son traitement. Il a également travaillé à temps plein et a commencé à élever sa petite famille et attendait avec impatience une marque de 5 ans sans cancer.

Les années Covid sont venues et malgré une immunité extrêmement vulnérable, il a beaucoup contribué à l'entreprise pour laquelle il travaillait et leur petite famille a accueilli une deuxième petite fille en août de l'année dernière. Il était heureux et plein d'espoir pour un bel avenir. Des examens IRM réguliers n'ont montré aucun signe de tumeur et il a retrouvé toutes ses forces.

Une tache blanche est quand-même réapparue sur un scanner en septembre 2021 et cela a conduit à une croissance rapide en une tumeur de 7 centimètres qui a rapidement détérioré sa santé et sa mobilité. Deuxièmement, une radiothérapie plus dangereuse était nécessaire. Il a courageusement subi ses quatorze rendez-vous, sachant que cela affectera sa santé mentale et ses capacités physiques, dans l'espoir de réduire à nouveau la tumeur. Il a commencé à avoir des convulsions et des difficultés à bouger le côté gauche de son corps en raison des radiations et de la taille de la tumeur. Il a continué à tout faire pour garder sa mobilité mais les effets ont commencé à être trop importants à gérer.

Heureusement, la technologie médicale a avançe et Harvey a pu trouver une clinique en Allemagne qui pratique l'ablation laser guidée par IRM du traitement du glioblastome. Cependant, cette intervention n'est pas prise en charge par son assurance maladie. Il est courageux d'essayer et tout ce dont il a besoin maintenant, ce sont les fonds. Aidons-le à continuer le combat et à pouvoir élever ses deux petites filles.

Ich möchte meinem mutigen Bruder helfen, der nicht mehr alleine weiterkämpfen kann. Der Eingriff wird nicht von seiner Krankenkasse übernommen. Deshalb bin ich sicher, dass wir alle zusammenkommen und alle notwendigen Mittel für seine Genesung aufbringen können.

Nach einem Zittern und einer Schwäche in seiner linken Hand wurde bei Harvey im Januar 2018 ein Glioblastoma multiforme Hirntumor im Stadium 4 diagnostiziert. Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie sind ein werdender Vater und hören eine so knochentrockene Diagnose mit einer Überlebensrate von ein paar Monaten. Er war am Boden zerstört, aber entschlossen, es zu überwinden.

Er hat alle Widrigkeiten besiegt und in diesen vier Jahren eine invasive Operation zur Entfernung des Gehirntumors, Runden von Chemotherapie und Strahlentherapie hinter sich, die er zweimal hatte (zuletzt im Oktober dieses Jahres). Er arbeitete auch Vollzeit und begann, seine kleine Familie großzuziehen, und freute sich darauf, 5 Jahre lang krebsfrei zu sein.

Covid-Jahre kamen und obwohl er eine extrem anfällige Immunität hatte, trug er viel zu dem Unternehmen bei, für das er arbeitete, und ihre kleine Familie begrüßte im August letzten Jahres ein zweites kleines Mädchen. Er war glücklich und hoffte auf eine schöne Zukunft. Regelmäßige MRT-Scans zeigten keine Anzeichen des Tumors und er erlangte seine ganze Kraft zurück.

Auf einem Scan im September 2021 tauchte erneut ein weißer Fleck auf, der zu einem schnellen Wachstum zu einem 7-Zentimeter-Tumor führte, der seine Gesundheit und Mobilität rapide verschlechterte. Zweitens war eine gefährlichere Strahlentherapie erforderlich. Er hat alle vierzehn seiner Termine tapfer überstanden, wissend, dass dies seine geistige Gesundheit und seine körperlichen Fähigkeiten beeinträchtigen wird, in der Hoffnung, den Tumor wieder schrumpfen zu lassen. Aufgrund der Strahlung und der Größe des Tumors bekam er Anfälle und Schwierigkeiten, die linke Körperseite zu bewegen. Er tat weiterhin alles, um seine Mobilität zu erhalten, aber die Auswirkungen wurden zu groß, um damit fertig zu werden.

 Harvey hat eine Klinik in Deutschland gefunden, die eine MRT-geführte Laserablation der Glioblastombehandlung durchführt. Dieser Eingriff wird jedoch nicht von seiner Krankenkasse übernommen. Er ist mutig, es zu versuchen, und alles, was er jetzt braucht, sind die Mittel. Helfen wir ihm, den Kampf fortzusetzen und seine beiden kleinen Mädchen großzuziehen.
